1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS
John Shave welcomed the group.
2. CHAIRMANS REPORT
•RSS update - current status is that stakeholder consultations are taking place - response delayed until summer 2008
•Waitrose plans - no further info at present
•Flight Refuelling - no planning application made yet
•Planning approval for new cricket ground car park is limited to 20 spaces to reduce congestion in the area
•Bus changes this week / 83 Blandford to Wimborne from 07/04/08 / timetable copies available
•88 bus service to Castlepoint on Saturdays has been successful - times amended to allow extra shopping time. Also on Fridays & Saturdays from 11/04/08 service to Kingston Lacey / 1.40 pm and 4.15 pm
•300 – as the original rural service was not successful, it is now timetabled to include key stops – others on route may be individually booked
•Canford Bridge - when it closes all bus services will go via Julian’s Bridge
3.Committed Theme Action Group Projects
•Youth on the move / 1 year pilot / youth work across the area
•Graffiti Art / Heatherlands estate to employ an artist to engage young people
•Youth Centre extended opening / The Planet Wimborne to open during school holidays.
•Maps of Cycle Routes / to tie in with Poole, Christchurch & Bournemouth maps.
•Football Focus / PCSO's engage local youths / successful in Poole
•Drug/Alcohol Mis users / young people with parents who are mis users / series of educational seminars / run by Shadows Support Group
•Community Justice Panel / to train members of the public to deliver community justice has been successful in other areas / some examples given i.e., herb garden at Leigh Park
•Return of the Natives / removal of Rhododendron and Laurel invasive species from selected sites
•Safer Roads / speed pledge / help local police in speed education / purchase speed gun
•Purchase SID for smaller parishes / pay an amount per year for use / Colehill positive example
4.Local Projects Requiring Funding:
Colehill Memorial Hall / new chairs required / approx 60 / £1,800 bid proposed
5.Feedback from PACT Panels
Wimborne & Colehill
•Congestion around schools / investigate / cycle way from Park Homer Drive to school
•School time traffic / parking to be looked at
Leigh Park PACT panel
•First meeting of panel recently / introductions / priorities / lack of feedback from community
•Next meeting in June / hope for priorities then / facilities for children
•Did engage one business 'Allsorts' / manager praise for work done by Police
•Riverside CCTV in place
•Youth Shelter still not in place at Leigh Park / was due 03/03/08 / miscommunication – Cllr. March to progress
•The Cabin in Verwood due to go to Alderholt/Cranborne / waiting for planning
•Notice board now up in Leigh Park
•Funding was agreed for a second youth shelter for Corfe Mullen / no site was agreed so the funding was lost

•20mph speed limit from Pye Corner to the square / signs confusing – Cllr. March to progress
•St Johns Avenue into Leigh Park / timing issues on traffic lights – Cllr. March to progress
•Wimborne square parking opposite HSBC issues / yellow hatching
•Wimborne square plans / no parking in square / out for public consultations
•King Street speeding issues / 20mph?
