Children and Young People Theme Action Group

The Children and Young People Theme Action Group (previously known as the Youth Theme Action Group) includes representatives from a number of organisations and individuals who support young people and their interests. These organisations have worked together to achieve a number of projects.

The 'Youth on the Move' trailer is a mobile unit which provides equipment and activities to young people anywhere it is required in East Dorset. Youth Shelters have provided informal places for young people to meet and socialise with their peers. To help young people access education and work, the scooter scheme provides scooters on a lease basis. £1500 was each given to Corfe Mullen, Verwood and Ferndown Youth Clubs to provide entertainment and activities on a Friday night. The SOUND Music Festival provided an opportunity for young performers to experience a playing live on stage.
