St. James' First School, Alderholt

Alderholt Local Action Group

Alderholt Local Action Group was formed in early 2004, following concerns about local anti-social behaviour.

The Alderholt Parish Plan Group was then established who produced their Parish Plan 'The road to a brighter future'.

The two groups have now merged, and the revised Local Action Group together with the Parish Council are taking on the responsibility of working with their local community and service providers to implement the plan.

Highlights from the plan include aims to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, improve communications between the local schools, to have a cleaner and more accessible local countryside, improve access to health care, ensure any new developments are in keeping with the local area, improve public transport to local work, and provide better facilities for young people.
