Executive Board
The formation of the Executive Board was agreed by the East Dorset Community Partnership Steering Board in June 2009 to effectively manage the development and work of the Partnership.
It is the responsibility of the Executive Board to:
· Maintain through their various sub groups productive linkages with Dorset Strategic Partnership, Town & Parish Councils, East Dorset District Council and Dorset County Council County Council
· Promote and encourage involvement with the Partnership by key stakeholders from the Public and Private Sector, Community and Voluntary Sectors
· Oversee the development and implementation of the Sustainable Community Strategy
· Oversee allocation of external funding (Notably DSP project funding and Communities for Health) and commission projects to address strategic priorities including the Local Area Agreement
· Ensure that the Partnership responds and implements changes in legislation and policy
· Oversee the work of the Community Planning Group and Community Panel and other Partnership Groups
· Report annually to the Stakeholder Forum and Partnership Conference
· To promote community planning and encourage the development of Town and Parish Plans
· Agree appointment of key partnership positions including Chairman, Vice Chairman and Chairman of all Partnership Groups
